About this policy

This policy describes information associated with chrillolabs.com, its information pages and its browser-based practice simulations. Chrillo Labs is operated by Christopher Hallock, a sole proprietor based in Ohio, United States.

Information associated with your visit

Cloudflare delivers and helps protect the site. It may process technical information such as your IP address, browser and device information, requested pages, timestamps and referral information for delivery, reliability and security. Cloudflare Web Analytics is enabled for the site. It measures page views, referrers and page performance in aggregate; Cloudflare documents that it does not use cookies or browser storage for this measurement. We use it only to understand overall site use and reliability, not to identify individual visitors. Cloudflare's own retention applies to this data and Chrillo Labs has not set a separate period.

Accounts and Google sign-in

The current public practice site can be used without an account. When account features are enabled, Clerk provides sign-up, sign-in and account management. Account information may include your name, email address, account identifier and information you choose to provide. If you choose Google sign-in, Google and Clerk process the sign-in and may provide basic account or profile information that you authorize. Your Google password is not collected by Chrillo Labs.

Practice activity and saved progress

During a simulation, your actions and score are processed in your browser. When saved progress is enabled and you are signed in, a submitted result can be stored with your account identifier, simulation identifier, mode, score and submission time; an optional elapsed time may also be recorded. Scores are reported by the browser and are not independently verified. The record for each signed-in account also includes a last-seen timestamp. Access records may also indicate whether your account is entitled to protected course content.

Cookies and similar technologies

When account features are enabled, Clerk uses cookies and related browser technologies to support authentication and sessions. Cloudflare may use cookies or similar technologies for security and access controls. Browser settings can limit or remove cookies, although doing so may affect sign-in or access.

How information is used and shared

Information is used to provide and secure the site, authenticate accounts, deliver authorized content, save progress when available, and maintain reliability. Clerk provides authentication and account services. Cloudflare provides hosting, security and delivery, D1 database storage for account-linked records, and R2 storage for protected simulation files when those features are enabled. Google processes sign-in if you choose that option. These providers handle information as needed to provide their services.

Age

The site is intended for people aged 13 and older. It does not ask for or check your age, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, contact [email protected] and the request will be reviewed manually and handled according to applicable law.

Payments

Payment processing and paid checkout are not currently available. Stripe integration is planned but is not active. If payment processing is introduced, this policy will need to be updated before it begins.

Retention and privacy requests

We have not set fixed retention periods. Saved progress and account-linked records in our D1 database are kept while the account is in use and for as long as needed to operate the service. Account details held by Clerk stay with Clerk until the account is deleted there. Cloudflare keeps delivery, security and analytics records under its own practices. To submit a privacy request, including a request about your information, email [email protected]. Requests are reviewed manually by a person and handled according to applicable law. We will verify that you control the account before we disclose or change any information. Automated account-data export and deletion tools are not currently available, and this policy does not promise a particular outcome or timeline beyond what applicable law requires. Records held by Clerk, Cloudflare or Google may need to be requested from those providers directly.

Changes

This policy may be updated when the site or its data practices change. The effective date should be updated when a revised policy is published.
